Wade Comer - Head
Coach
Coach Comer is now in his 11th season as
head coach. In 2007, he coached the Rebels to a record
breaking season, going all the way to the State Championship. In
2009, he made his 3rd consecutive appearance to the Semi-Finals,
the 5th time of his career. Coach Comer is married to
Amy Comer and has three children, Laken, Anna, and
Bryant.

Randy Thomas -
Defensive Coordinator
Coach
Thomas returns to the McKenzie coaching staff for his 29th
season and has been employed by the McKenzie Special School
District for over thirty years. With the exiting of Coach Duncan
III, he takes over the reigns of the Defensive Coordinator again
after having previously been during the 2007 season. Coach
Thomas is married to Derrinda Thomas and has two children,
Jeremy and Daniel. |

David Duncan
III -
Wide Receivers/Secondary
Coach Duncan is an assistant coach with the football team. Coach
Duncan, a Colonel in the National Guard, was absent in the 2007
season after being deployed for military duty but he made his
coaching return in 2008 to help coach the Rebels to the
Semi-Finals. He has been a part of the McKenzie coaching
staff for 11 years. He has three children, Drew, David, and
Daniel. |

David Duncan IV -
Wide Receivers/Secondary
Coach Duncan, who recently returned from
Iraq, is a graduate of Bethel
College, now Bethel University, and is a 2002 graduate of
McKenzie High School and played for Coach Comer in high school. This is his
fourth year
as a member of the coaching staff. He is the son of Coach
David Duncan III, who is now the middle school principal, and coaches the Rebel receivers and secondary. |

Jay Taylor -
Linebackers/Running Backs
Coach
Taylor is a graduate of Tennessee Martin and is also a 2003
graduate of McKenzie High School and former player for Coach Comer. He made his first appearance on the Rebel
sideline as a coach in the 2008 season, and is now in his third
year with the McKenzie coaching staff. |

Jordon Laxton -
Linebackers/Running Backs
Coach
Laxton is a 2004 graduate of Trinity Christian Academy and is
also a 2009 graduate of Bethel College, now Bethel University. Coach Laxton
worked for two years as a volunteer coach and is now in his
second year as an assistant coach. He coaches linebackers and
running backs. |

Jarvis Oliver -
Offensive/Defensive Line
Coach Oliver, a
student assistant, is a 2008 graduate of Melrose High School in
Memphis, Tennessee and is a Junior at the University of
Tennessee at Martin. He majoring in Secondary History with an
emphasis in U.S. Government. He is a varsity defensive line
coach and also the offensive and defensive line for the freshman
team. |

Jay Gregory -
Linebackers/Running Backs
Coach Gregory, also a
student assistant, is a graduate of Humboldt High School and is
also a student at Bethel University in McKenzie. He assists with
coaching the linebackers and running backs. |
